How to see the Disk usagein unix :
All Sun users are given a quota of disk space on their home server. Initially most users get a quota of 2 Megabytes (MB) but they can ask for an increase if they have a good reason.

Checking your current usage

To check your current disk usage type the command

Code:
quota -v

This will give a display that begins like this:-

Code:
langs% quota -v

Disk quotas for pcu (uid 10075):

Filesystem     usage   quota   limit      timeleft  files  quota  limit   timeleft

/home/langs     1020    5000    5000                    0      0      0
